Thieves have carted away the outer unit of an Air Conditioning (AC) system at the Head Office of CrossRiverWatch.
The unit stolen is connected to the office of the Editor-in-Chief and the burglary incident, suspected to have happened over the weekend, was confirmed by the Managing Editor, Mr. Jeremiah Archibong on Monday.
“When we got to the office this morning, we discovered that the AC Unit attached to the Editor-In-Chief’s office had been stolen, and an attempt was made to cart away the generator supplying power to the office,” Mr. Archibong said.
This is the second time in 10 months the media outlet, whose office is situated along Marian in Calabar, the Cross River State capital has been attacked by burglars.
In July 2021, a suspected burglary attempt was reported to the Police.
And, Mr. Archibong said the company has become more security conscious, as it is putting in place measures to ensure security within and around the office.
