Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has directed his Special Adviser Technical, Architect Eric Akpo, to oversee the affairs of the State Electrification Agency, SEA.
SEA was left without a DG when Stanley Nsemo, the former Boss of the Agency left to pursue his legislative ambition.
The Governor gave Eric, who will now work in a dual capacity, the marching orders to immediately fix and put into running street lights in Calabar, Ogoja and Obudu.
This was communicated through a press release with reference number GO/PRESS/012/VOL.11/225, dated June 3rd 2022, signed by Christian Ita, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Governor.
The statement reads in part: “The State Governor, His Excellency, Sir Ben Ayade hereby directs the Special Adviser, Technical, Architect Eric Akpo to take over with immediate effect, the running of the State Electrification Agency pending the appointment of a new Director-General for the Agency.
“He is to immediately restore street lights in the State capital, Calabar as well as in Ogoja and Obudu.”
