At least one may have died after a haulage truck collided with a low bed heavy duty equipment carrier at Akpet central in Biase Local Government Area section of the Calabar – Ikom – Katsina-Ala federal highway on Thursday.
A video recording obtained by CrossRiverWatch shows what appears to be the lifeless body of the driver of the haulage truck with a mangled front.
The video also showed blood on the road while motorists whose journey had been truncated by the accident could be heard lamenting on the background.
The low bed equipment carrier appeared to be carrying what looked like a swamp bogey.
Local emergency and road safety authorities including the Federal Road Safety Corps were yet to make a statement as at press time.
