An official of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) has been electrocuted in Calabar, Cross River State capital.
The tragedy struck in the late hours of Wednesday 28 September 2022 at Army junction, a few meters from Eburutu Military Cantonment.
Eyewitnesses who greeted the scene of the incident said the official climbed the electric pole improperly kitted while the high tension had Live.
Though some onlookers said it looked like he suffered a seizure, his colleague at PHED who wouldn’t name inked said he was electrocuted. He was however rushed to a nearby hospital.
Similarly, a 400 Level student of Microbiology at the University of Cross River State, UNICROSS Blessing Kona Udie has been butchered to death.
The undergraduate and three others were said to have been hacked to death by unknown assailants in a residence in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Miss. Blessing was said to have been in the “wrong place at the wrong time” when she accompanied her friends to an apartment housing a mini music studio for production.
A Twitter user identified as Princess Nengi @HrhWheelz narrated: “Yesterday my friend and three of his friends were butchered and killed in Gwarimpa at their house and their fingers were cut and their blood was used to write on the wall.
“He was producing with his producer, a friend, and his producer’s girlfriend. They came for the producer and his girlfriend but unluckily for them, they were also there and butchered them all even wrote on the wall with their blood cut and their fingers off,” she narrated of Chop Boi; an Abuja-based musician who was also a victim.
They are identified as Gwezi, Beelorings, Chop Boi, and Blessing Udie.
