Cross River-Born Pilot, Orok Paul Passes On

Cross River-born pilot in training, Deuel Orok Paul who was diagnosed with an Abdominal abscess and Gastrointestinal fistula and recovered in a Dubai, United Arab Emirates hospital after a successful surgery has reportedly passed on.

Deuel Orok, a 30-year-old and once vibrant Pilot found himself in a complicated situation when he had undergone a surgery for ruptured appendix in an undisclosed hospital in the country where the doctors were said to have mistakenly punctured his large and small intestines, leading to further complications.

Orok left Nigeria earlier in 2022 for Dubai to commence treatment after the Cross River State Government and well-meaning Nigerians had supported him with over N15M (fifteen million Naira).

He returned to Nigeria in October 2022 after he gained recovery.

However, according to close sources who disclosed to Calabarblog said he passed on Sunday evening in Calabar while sleeping at home. An effort to rush him to the hospital was difficult due to roadblocks during the Dry Run.
