Nigerian Journalist and activist, Citizen Agba Jalingo on Tuesday visited the Executive Director of the Policy and Legal Advocacy Center, PLAC, Clement Nwankwo Esq as part of strategic visits to civic space actors to strengthen relationships.
Citizen Jalingo who was released from the Medium Security Custodial Center Kuje, Abuja on Monday after a week in custody said it is important to thank organizations and individuals who understand the need for dissenting opinions and holding accountable, public office holders in the country.
The visit, which was a private one, lasted less than an hour at the PLAC office in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
Citizen Jalingo told CrossRiverWatch after the visit that it was always refreshing talking to people like Mr. Nwankwo who have spent their life working towards ensuring a better Nigeria.
He said he plans further engagements with other organizations and individuals in the near future as the country continues to suffer from a systemic shrink of the Civic Space.
It will be recalled that in a ‘thank you’ message issued by him earlier on Tuesday, he said the support he has received over the years has continuously fueled his desire for a better society.
