The Management of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has embarked on a two-day break to mark this year’s Easter celebration.
This is also coming as the Federal Government of Nigeria declared Friday, April 7, 2023, which is Good Friday, and Monday, April 10, 2023 – Easter Monday as public holidays to mark one of Christians’ yearly rites.
The UNICROSS management in circular number 383 told staff and students to proceed on the break from Friday, April 7, and are expected to resume on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
“The Management of Cross River University of Technology wishes to inform all staff, students, and the entire university community that the institution shall embark on a two-day Easter break, following the Federal Government’s declaration of Friday, April 7, and Monday, April 10, 2023, as public holidays, to mark the celebration of Easter.
“Staff and students are, therefore, to proceed on the break, on Friday, April 7, 2023, and are expected to resume on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
“However, all staff on essential duties are exempted from this holiday and shall, during the period, render services in accordance with their departmental schedules. Management sincerely wishes you all a blissful Easter celebration,” it read.
