The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, Cross River State chapter has inaugurated Dr. Trinity Ogar as Chairman.
Dr. Trinity was inaugurated along with other executive members yesterday, at Gold City Gospel Ministry International, Calabar, the state capital.
The National Inauguration chairman, Archbishop Joseph-Ojo, during his message to the past and present administration, took his excerpt from the book of Acts 9:20-30 and said that no matter what you preach most people don’t believe God.
He emphasized that when God did his earthly ministry people didn’t believe him and prayed that may the ministry of the people of God not be terminated even as he commended them for a job well done.
The newly inaugurated PFN chairman in Cross River, Dr. Trinity Ogar said “Leading the entire Pentecostals in Cross River State is a very big shoe that someone has to wear but I believe that with God on our side we are going to deliver.
“As a matter of fact, we are going to take the fellowship a little further. We are sure that we have done credibly well for the past eight years and don’t be amazed that I served in the past administration as the deputy for eight years so I think I have an idea where there are pitfalls, mistakes, and errors. So we can correct those errors first. I believe that experience plus wisdom and grace would help us excel.”
In an interview, Dr. Lawrence Ekwok, Dr. Trinity’s predecessor expressed satisfaction with the massive support he received from the leaders and members for the past eight years which enabled him to set a good record for his administration.
He said “We were just being modest not to mention certain things but it is on record and is verifiable that what we did had not been done before. That happened because of the support we had. People were supporting us with their money, with their time and everything.”
He concluded that “if you are transparent, you will earn support from people once they do not doubt your intentions.”
Mr. Akomaye Ugar, Senior Pastor, Honey Streams Global gave a vote of thanks and commended the past administration for their strides and focused commitment amidst the enormous challenges.
