It was a moment of joy sharing and thanksgiving as the Speaker, Hon. Elvert Ayambem, and members of Cross River State House of Assembly trooped en mass to celebrate with one of their members – Honorable Linus Bassey.
Hon. Linus Bassey is a member representing Akamkpa 2 State Constituency, and at the thanksgiving mass held at Saint Michael Catholic Church, Oban on Sunday, he thanked God for his election victory, successful inauguration, and granting him the opportunity to serve his people in another bigger capacity.
Linus, who served as the immediate Chairman of Akamkpa, assured his constituency of delivering the true dividends of democracy that will benefit the entire people of Akamkpa.
He also pledged to bring developmental programs that will enhance the growth of the constituency.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Hon. Elvert Ayambem in a goodwill message described Linus as a man who lives a life worthy of emulation and someone committed to promoting good governance and ready to serve the interest of his people.
“Today calls for unification because that is the strength of every constituency. I want to say that Hon. Linus Bassey has lived a life worthy of emulation.
“I have no doubt that the sky is just a stepping stone to a greater success that you will achieve in life,” Elvert expressed.
In attendance were the member representing Akamkpa/Biase federal constituency Hon. Emil Inyang, former member representing Akamkpa/Biase, in the House of Representatives Hon. Daniel Asuquo, and many other dignitaries among other dignitaries who graced the occasion.
