Cross River Civil Society Network Urges Gov. Bassey Otu To Unveil His Subsidy Amelioration Strategy

The Chairman of Cross River Civil Society Network, Leader Benedict Effiom Usang has urged State Governor, Sen. Bassey Otu to unveil his subsidy amelioration strategy.

Leader Usang made the call recently in a Facebook post.

President Bola Tinubu declared that there would no longer be a petroleum subsidy regime as the current 2023 budget he glimpsed does not contain it during his inaugural address at Eagle Square, FCT Abuja.

According to the president, the current 2023 budget has provision for the fuel subsidy till June.

Mr. Tinubu stated that funds for subsidies will be diverted to other areas such as public infrastructure, education, health care, and jobs.
