Cross River Governor, Sen. Bassey Edet Otu has reaffirmed his commitments in improving the economic fortunes of Ikom local government area.
He made this known on his social media handle in the wee hours of today.
He posited that the Ikom people must be able to compete favourably with foreigners who carry out daily business activities in Ikom, so as to ensure market forces and general living conditions there are not determined by these external forces.
He said “Ikom is the economic capital of the central senatorial district of our state with so much potential to improve our Internal Generated Revenue.”
Otu promised to empower the people to play active economic roles in their own land as it would help to alleviate economic burdens.
