UNICAL Students To Represent Nigeria In World University Games In China Charged To Fly High

Two students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) identified as Vivian and Oluchi, who will be representing the institution in the World University Games in China have been charged to fly high with medals.

The World University Games are staged every two years in celebration of international university sports and culture that draws thousands of student-athletes together to compete, making it among the world’s largest and most prestigious multi-sport events.

The 12-day exercise incorporates educational and cultural aspects, encouraging student-athletes from around the world to combine high sports performance with their intellectual pursuits.

Set to take place in Western China city of Chengdu from July 28th to August 8th, 2023.

Encouraging the competing students as they jet out, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Florence Obi charged them to be in high spirits and be at their best in China so they can return home with beautiful laurels.

Also giving a pat for success, table tennis enthusiast Orok Duke Otu implore them to be good ambassadors who will bring home medals for UNICAL and Nigeria in general.
