Sun Rise Radio, the Department of Mass Communication radio station, University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), has gone online.
Some students in the Department were in the radio studio for a program which was also to record and soundcheck.
The station can also be found and listened to on Radio Garden.
The Department had obtained a license to commence transmission but due to unforeseen circumstances, the transmission was stalled for years.
However, following reaccreditation and other approvals, the station came alive again under the watch of the Head of Department – Mr. Cornelius Ellah, and Technologist – Mrs. Eme Ohain.
Students from the Faculty of Communication Technology expressed gratitude and optimism as they were given guidelines on how to connect and listen to live happenings in the school even in the comfort of their homes once their phones are connected to the internet.
This is coming as the institution is recently and currently making waves.
