UNICROSS Guru Innovation Hub Receives Support To Empower Students

The Guru Innovation Hub, University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) poised to empower students, especially in technology, has received support from Angel Investor.

The Guru Innovation Hub is an initiative of the Guru Foundation involved in digital training and entrepreneurial skills of undergraduates in higher learning.

The initiative is coming at a time when the technological landscape across the globe is changing and young people need to be in tune with best practices.

The founder of the Hub Mr. Oyo Effiom in his Facebook post said: ”I am happy to announce that the Guru Innovation Hub got its first funding that helped us purchase 35 laptops for our computer lab.

“The computer lab was a necessity for us because about 80 percent of young people who are desiring to learn digital and technical skills don’t have systems.

“With the Computer Lab now available in the Hub, young people will have laptops to practice what they learn.

“We want to scale the lab to 250 laptops; I will be very glad to receive donations of laptops from you,” he said.
