In Breaking News, Education

The Cross River State Government has clarified an earlier announcement on free tuition fees for its indigenes at primary and secondary school levels.

The government made the clarification on the 26th of September 2023, to avoid disinformation and misinterpretation.

In a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh, the government clarified that the tuition fee “applies to only students and pupils who are indigenes alone.

According to the government: “other fees that are approved by the Ministry of Education still apply.”

Accordingly, the head teachers and Principals are to start implementing these measures, which are part of the palliatives in the education sector.
