A block of six classrooms at the Nomadic Primary School in Obudu Local Government Area on Monday partially collapsed.
This leaves dozens of pupils without proper infrastructure to learn CrossRiverWatch gathers.
The block of classrooms which was already in a shape unfit for learning due to lack of windows and doors, collapsed after school hours, a source told CrossRiverWatch.
An amateur video shows the front corridor of the building alongside the supporting poles in rubble with part of the roof covering the corridor slowly caving in due to the collapsed supporting structures.
The windows of the classrooms can be seen covered with planks held to the frames by nails while the doors are open.
It is unclear if the Local Government Education Authority or the State Univers al Basic Education Board has been informed.
The building was constructed by the Obudu Local Government Council during the 2011/2012 academic session while Mr. Emmanuel Ikwen was Council Chairman making it just a little above a decade old.
