The Cross River State Government has announced recruitment into the State Forestry Commission to fill the position of Forest Rangers.
The announcement is contained in a press release signed by the Permanent Secretary of Forestry Commission, Emmanuel Effiong Asikpo Okon JP, dated 6th December, 2023.
He said responsible and able-bodied men whose responsibility will be to guard and protect the State forest should apply.
The statement further states that applicants are expected to have Senior School Certificate Examination, (SSCE) or its equivalent and are expected to submit a handwritten application together with photocopies of their credentials to the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Cross River State Forestry Commission on or before the close of work on Friday, December 29, 2023.
The release reads in parts: “His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu Governor of Cross River State has approved the recruitment of Forest Rangers whose responsibility is to guard and protect our forest across the state.
“Accordingly, the Cross River State Forestry Commission hereby invites applications from able-bodied and interested Cross Riverians to fill the vacant position of Forest Rangers on grade level 04/step1 in the commission.
“Applicants are expected to have Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE or its equivalent and are expected to submit a handwritten application together with photocopies of their credentials to the Chairman/CEO Cross River State Forestry Commission Headquarters, 69 Target Road Calabar on or before the close of work on Friday, 29/12/2023”.
The Commission assured that only qualified and short-listed applicants will be invited for an interview.
