Cross River Government To Hold General Environmental Sanitation Saturday 27th

The Government of Cross River State has announced Saturday, January 27, 2024, as a statewide general environmental sanitation day.

In a public service announcement signed by the State Commissioner for Environment Honorable Moses Osogi, said the exercise is statewide and compulsory for every resident in the State.

He appealed to business owners and residents to partake in the cleaning and evacuation of waste around their environment during the hours of sanitation.

The Commissioner noted that there shall be restrictions on vehicular and human movement between the hours of 7:am-10:am except for those on essential duties, warning that anyone found flouting the directive would be charged and tried by the Mobile Court.

Honorable reminded all to “Remember, a clean environment is everyone’s business, together let’s keep Cross River State clean, green, and serene”.
