In a kind gesture to the families of some identified Police officers who were slain in the course of duty, the Cross River State Command of the Nigerian Police Force, has extended hands of fellowship to the deceased families.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Gyogon Grimah, while presenting cheques to the families in the Command’s Headquarters, Calabar, said officers who paid the supreme sacrifice in their line of duty will not be forgotten.
Presenting the cheques to not less than ten families, he said it is important to share in their pain with the tokens, as the Command understands the economy and what they are passing through.
The State Police Boss, however, enjoin the families to make good use of the money given to them and place high priority on the most important things first.
High point of the exercise were candid advice, group photograph and among others.
