The Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of University of Calabar (UNICAL) Microfinance Bank, Francis Kibe has regained freedom.
The MD was kidnapped a few days ago in Calabar by unknown gunmen who whisked him away unknown destination.
The Cross River State Police Command of the Nigeria Police Force, had confirmed the abduction when SP Irene Ugbo, the Command’s spokesman told CrossRiverWatch.
After hours of captivity in their den, it is gathered he was released on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
Meanwhile, CrossRiverWatch at the time of this report can not ascertain if ransom was paid.
