A tragic fatal accident has claimed two lives of young ladies and left two young men critically injured in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State.
The incident occurred at Mobil by MCC junction, Calabar Municipality LGA, in the wee hours of Monday 19th August, 2024, leaving two ladies identified as Wofai and Bella dead on the spot.
Out of the four who were onboard the white coloured GLK 350-4Matic Benz; the two ladies are said to be affiliated with the Cross River State College of Health Technology Calabar, while the two young men are yet identified.
The victims were said to be on their way back from a friend’s birthday party held over the night. The cause of the accident is not ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Video footage from the scene shows victims looking helpless and in a pool of blood, while the vehicle has been badly damaged.
