Nine Police officers – Victor Reuben, Turkey Odozi, Kingsley Usanga, Familola Ojo, Emega Ero, Adi Ayapere, Chollon Yohanna, Theresa Afolabi, and Micheal Eni, have been prompted and decorated.
The promotion followed a recommendation by the Inspector-General of Police through the Police Service Commission (POLSCOM), and was applauded by Governor Otu as a significant milestone. He urged the officers to uphold high moral standards and diligently fulfill their responsibilities.
According to Governor Bassey Otu’s Chief Press Secretary, Gill Nsa, the decoration was done by Governor Otu alongside the Commissioner of Police in the State,CP Gyogon Grimah, held at Governor’s temporary Office, where the officers were promoted from Inspectors to Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP II)
The nine officers are attached to the Government House.
Commissioner of Police, CP Gyogon Augustine Grimah, emphasized that the promotion marks a critical transition, holding the officers accountable for their actions and decisions and he expects to see new initiatives and improved performance.
ASP Micheal Eni, speaking on behalf of the Officers, expressed gratitude to Governor Otu for overseeing the decoration and pledged to give their best in service to the people.
The event was attended by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar.
