The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu has approved the recruitment of two thousand five hundred (2,500) personnel from the Salary Grade Level 03 to Salary Grade Level 09 into the state civil and public service.
This was contained in a letter signed by the Chairman, Civil Service Commission Maurice Effiwatt dated 6th August, 2024, with reference number GO/HOS/407/VOL.VII/103 where he gave a breakdown of the recruitment.
The breakdown shows that the Mainstream Civil Service will have 500 (Five Hundred), Administrative Officers 100, Accounting Officers 100, Planning Officers 20, Budget Officers 20, Procurement Officers 20, Statisticians 20, Fire Service 30, Information 20, Nutrition Officers 20, Data Processing Officers 30.
Also, Clerical Officers 30, Messengers 30, Security/Watchmen 30, Drivers 30.
“This breakdown became necessary because His Excellency, the Governor, had already granted approval to a few MDA’s that made up the number 2000,” the letter added.
