The Deputy Governor of Cross River State, Honorable Peter Odey has hosted a Cross River-born genius, Stephen Apebendeh who excelled in his West African Examination Council (WAEC) and the 2024 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams.
The 16 years old came to limelight after he scored 356 in the JAMB CBT, and 7 As and 2 Bs in the just concluded WASSCE. A feat that has garnered applause from far and wide.
Hon. Peter Akpanke, member representing Obudu/Obanliku/Bekwarra Federal Constituency, is said to have awarded him a scholarship.
Though the reward from the Deputy Governor is yet to be revealed, his gestures of receiving Apebendeh, will be a wake-up call for other young Cross Riverians.
