The member representing Yala II State Constituency, in Cross River State House Assembly, Honorable Martins Achadu has facilitated the distribution of fertilizers donated by the State government to farmers across all wards of the constituency. The initiative aims to enhance farming productivity in the next harvest season.
To ensure a transparent and equitable distribution process, the exercise was done in collaboration with stakeholders and farmers.
While addressing some constituents, Hon. Achadu noted that the fertilizers distribution exercise is in line with Governor Bassey Otu’s commitment to supporting farmers in the State; boosting productivity, and addressing food shortages.
The lawmaker emphasized that the fertilizers are entirely free and intended for the benefit of all constituents, regardless of party affiliation.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Governor Otu for the kind gesture. They also lauded Hon. Achadu for facilitating the equitable distribution, and as well as thumbs up to the government’s commitment to empowering farmers and enhancing food security in the State.
The exercise is said to be one of Governor Otu’s commitment to revolutionizing agricultural development in Cross River State.
