The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), has gotten another Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor David Abua.
It is noted that, the school’s Governing Council in agreement with the state government approved the appointment of Prof. David Abua.
He will take over from Prof. Stephen Ochang who was also appointed in the Acting capacity following the indefinite suspension of Professor Augustine Angba.
Meanwhile, the school has commenced an infrastructural development in the Calabar main campus. The project, which is the construction of a state-of-the-art library, initiated by the outgoing acting VC, aims to enhance the learning environment and accommodate a growing student population.
It is also designed to surpass the existing facility in capacity, resources and provide a conducive study space for larger students as well as fostering academic experience.
However, with the departure of Professor Ochang, concerns have risen about the continuity of the projects as it most times witnessed in successions.
