The Management of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has announced the resumption of academic activities after shutting down for two weeks due the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest.
In a circular number 437 signed and made available by the Registrar, Victor Ene, said all duties, lectures and examination resumes for the continuation of the second semester 2023/2024 session examinations.
Management said students are expected to return to school on Monday, August 12, 2024 except for those who have completed their second semester examinations.
The circular states that examinations for Final Year students, as well as those who could not finish before the break will continue from Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
The varsity reminded students of the need to pay up their outstanding fees immediately, as admittance into the exam will be based on evidence that all outstanding fees have been paid.
Students are advised to note that entrepreneurship examinations are scheduled to be taken on Wednesday August, 2024 while completion of remaining examinations as well as carryover Computer Based Test exams will be held on Thursday 15, and Friday 16, 2024.
Final year exams will commence from Monday August 19, 2024.
“No form of examination malpractice will be tolerated; offenders will face severe disciplinary actions. Students are advised to adhere strictly to the examination timetable and report to their respective examination halls on time.
“Any student found to be in possession of unauthorized materials during the examination will be disqualified from the examination,” the school warned.
“We encourage all students to be punctual, prepared, and committed to their studies during this examination period. We wish you the very best in your exams.”
