An eight year-old Bridget Jones has been crowned the 2nd edition of Miss Cross River International 2024 Pageantry.
The event is organized by Amolife Entertainment made up of Sophia Ogar Davids, Azuka Inyang and Kelvin Essien, is for children between 7-13 years, is designed to record the emergence of the winner, Little Miss Cross River International Pageantry 2nd Edition, with the first edition hosted 24 months ago.
At the event held in Calabar, Bridget brushed aside 13 other contestants to emerge the winner after several rounds of the contest judged in voting 40%, stage performance 10%, question and answer 20%, charisma 10%, catwalks 10%, dance 10%.
Emerging as the most outstanding queen of the contest, Bridget will smile home with a cash prize of two hundred thousand (200,000) Naira and a laptop. She will also be representing Cross River in Little Miss Nigeria in Abuja in yet to be announced date.
Other winners include one hundred and fifty thousand (150,000) Naira, for 2nd runner up, 3rd runner up with one hundred thousand (100,000) Naira and 4th runner up with the sum of fifty thousand (50,000) Naira, respectively. There were consolation prizes for other contestants.
The eight years old is a native of Akpabuyo Local Government Area and a primary four pupil of Anuty Sama International Day-care Nursery and Primary School. She came top as Queen of same school a few months ago.
Dignitaries who graced the Pageantry include the University of Calabar Students Union Government President, Blessing Alims, members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, parents and other guests.
