The Ministry of Education, Cross River State, has announced a fifty million Naira educational support program targeted at students in public primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions within Calabar Municipality and the Odukpani Local Government Areas.
The unveiling was done by the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Stephen Odey during the official launch of the Bassey Akiba Foundation program in Calabar, marking the 2024 World Literacy Day.
Dr. Odey in his pep speech, emphasized the need to nurture future leaders and foster the spirit of community development.
He highlighted the efforts of the Bassey Akiba Foundation in supporting the state’s educational goals, praising its alignment with the initiatives of Governor Bassey Otu.
