The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has officially announced the resumption of academic activities for the 2024/2025 session.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar, fresh students are expected to resume on Friday, September 20, 2024, while returning students are scheduled to resume on Friday, September 27, 2024.

The circular detailed important guidelines for all stakeholders, including the prompt payment of fees, acceptance of admissions, and course registration through the University’s Edu portal. Fresh students are required to visit their respective departments for documentation following the acceptance of their admission and payment of the stipulated fees.

Returning students have been reminded to clear any outstanding fees owed to the University before beginning academic activities. In addition, students who are still occupying the hostels at the Calabar and Okuku campuses have been directed to vacate immediately to allow for renovation work to be completed.

The University management urged all students to comply with these directives to ensure a seamless start to the academic session and maintain a conducive environment for learning.

In a related development, the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has announced the dates for regularization interviews for both academic and non-teaching staff.

A memo signed by the University Registrar, Mr. Gabriel O. Egbe, stated that the interview for Academic Staff will take place on Tuesday, September 10, and Wednesday, September 11, 2024. The interview for Non-Teaching staff is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the University’s Council Chamber.

All affected staff members have been advised to attend the interviews as scheduled, as it is a crucial step in their career progression and inclusion in the University’s records.

The University management emphasized the importance of this process in regularizing staff status and ensuring that records are up to date.
