Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Cross River State chapter, have staged a peaceful protest over non payment of sixty thousand (60) Naira palliatives
ASUU and her members staged the protest in the Calabar main campus of UNICROSS, marched round the premises and touched down the Vice Chancellor’s office singing solidarity songs.
One of the members who craved anonymity expressed displeasure at how they are being treated but expressed optimism that the Vice Chancellor Prof. David Ogar will hear their cry.
The Vice Chancellor, however, addressed the staff members, promising that three months’ worth of palliatives will be paid starting today, October 25th, 2024 and the remaining three months to be paid within two weeks.
