Kidnapped Pregnant Woman, In-Law And Pastor Released

A heavily pregnant woman who was abducted in place of her husband on October 4, 2024, at Eseku Community, Creek Town of Odukpani Local Government Area of the state has been released after weeks in captivity.

CrossRiverWatch reported she allegedly gave in the kidnappers’ den. Her in-law and the Pastor in charge of Mount Zion Church in Eseku went to pay ransom in a bid to get her and the baby released but were both kidnapped on their way with the abductors demanding N15 million ransom.

Days after the trio including the new baby were held against their will, they have regained freedom, CrossRiverWatch gathers. However, the exact amount paid as ransom can not be ascertained at the press time.
