The Female Commercial Drivers Association of Cross River State has expressed gratitude to the First Lady of the State, Rev. Eyoanwa Bassey Otu, for her dedicated support toward women empowerment in the state.
The Association members commended her recent gesture in awarding substantial cash prizes to nine female drivers who demonstrated exceptional performance during the state Vehicle Inspection Office (VIO) training.
Mrs. Otu granted the women the sum of one million Naira each, recognizing not only their efforts but also their success in a traditionally male-dominated field.
The gesture, according to the Association, reflects her vision of uplifting women and fostering a culture of resilience and excellence in Cross River State.
The Association through her President Philomina Asibe Ifeoma, extended gratitude to the Chief VIO, Engr. Paul Bepeh, Director of Road Traffic Services, whose role in organizing and facilitating the VIO training program was relevant in the achievement. The contribution, they noted, made the initiative a success.
“Through her compassionate and visionary approach, the First Lady continues to inspire a new era for women across Cross River State, setting a powerful precedent for leadership and empowerment.”
