Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, has mourned with his Kwara State Governor, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, over the passing of his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdukadir Mahe.
Governor Otu described the loss as irreparable and prayed for God’s consolation for the Governor, the deceased’s family, and the people of Kwara State.
“It is from God we come and to Him we shall all return,” Governor Otu said. “I pray that Almighty God consoles the Governor, the family of the deceased, and the entire Kwarans, granting them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
The condolence message was contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, stating that the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governors’ Forum, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq who was in Calabar with his Kogi State counterpart to flag off the 2024 Carnival Calabar when the incident occurred.
