The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), has matriculated a total of nine thousand, two hundred and eighty-four (9,284) students into ten (10) faculties for the new academic session
The Faculty of Agriculture admitted 40 students, Management Science has 1,374, Biological Sciences has 886, Architecture has 157, Physical Sciences has 1,836 students, Communication Technology has 1,101, Engineering has 1,204, Education has 1,554, Basic Medical Sciences has 820, and Environmental Sciences has 302.
The Vice Chancellor of the Varsity, Prof. David Abua while addressing the freshers during the school’s 23rd matriculation ceremony in Calabar Main Campus, urged the students to shy away from negative vices capable of impeding their academic success.
He averred that the level of seriousness put into study will reflect on the output at the end of their years of study; enjoining the students to repay the confidence their parents and sponsors will repose on them.
