The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Otu and wife, Bishop. Mrs. Eyoanwan Otu, have welcomed the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, to the renewed hope initiative launched to tackle food insecurity in Calabar.
She was represented by Hajia Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima in the Governor’s temporary office at Dan Archibong’s lodge in Calabar.
Governor Otu disclosed that the social investment program aims to address food insecurity and uplift vulnerable communities in the state.
The Renewed Hope Initiative is part of Sen. Oluremi Tinubu’s effort to promote women’s empowerment and address poverty-related issues.
