The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Otu and other stakeholders have paid tribute to fallen Nigerian soldiers who gave their lives to defend the sovereignty of the nation.
The ceremony is held every 15th January every year. In Cross River, the event which held in Calabar on Wednesday January 15, 2025, at the Millennium Park Calabar, witnessed the display of military parade.
The special guest of honor of the ceremony, Governor Otu, was represented by his Deputy, Honorable Peter Odey.
He said the labor of the fallen heros will not be in vain and the government will play its part in supporting the families of the deceased soldiers.
Also laying the wreath was the Chairman of Cross River State Traditional Rulers Council, HRM Ovai Edward Osim.
