BREAKING: Cross River CP Grimah Decorates 154 Promoted Officers

The Commissioner of Police, Cross River State Command, CP Gyogon Grimah, has presided over the decoration of one hundred and fifty four (154) senior police officers with various ranks in the state.

During the ceremony held on Wednesday 8th January 2025, at the State Police Headquarters, Diamond Hill, Calabar, CP Grimah expressed profound gratitude to God for the success of the event and acknowledged the recommendation of the newly promoted officers by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, to the Police Service Commission for timely promotion.

He emphasized the importance of professionalism, commitment, and heightened responsibility in their new roles.

The CP urged the newly promoted officers to maintain a high standard of service delivery in line with the Force’s Standard Operation Procedure, assuring them that their commitment would contribute significantly to the success of the Command and the Nigeria Police Force at large.

The promoted and decorated officers include 23 Superintendents (SP) promoted to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP). 11 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) promoted to Superintendents of Police (SP). 120 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) promoted to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP).

The event, a remarkable milestone in the history of the Cross River State Police Command, was graced by the Command’s Management Team and State Commissioner for Finance Hon. Michael Odere, family members of the newly promoted officers, well-wishers, personnel of the Command, and members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm – the Media.

Heartfelt goodwill messages were delivered by the Commissioner, promoted officers’ loved ones, well-wishers and among others.

On behalf of the newly promoted officers, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Obudu Division, CSP Teryima A. Dzungwe, expressed gratitude for the support and recognition extended to them.

Highlights of the event were group photographs, exchange of pleasantries and among others.
