A newborn baby has been found dead opposite St. Peter’s Church by Isayi Road, Ijiman, Ugep in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Converseer gathered that the baby’s lifeless body identified as male was found on Thursday, in a precarious condition, with no signs of struggle or foul play.
The identity of the mother and the circumstances surrounding his death remain unknown.
The tragic discovery has sent shockwaves through the community, with many residents expressing sadness and outrage.
With the community mourning, residents are calling for action to prevent such tragedies in the future.
The incident highlights the need for greater support and resources for vulnerable mothers and families in the area.
Recall that on Christmas Day, a 5-year-old Master TrustGod Daniel Ofem, drowned in a well in Ugep.
