One of Cross River State largest online and offline sociopolitical organization – Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON), has mobilized thousands in the state for the endorsement of Governor Bassey Otu for second term.
The event is scheduled for May 24, 2025 at the UJ Esuene Sport Stadium at 10:AM.
To kick off programs for the awaiting endorsement, CRISPON on Thursday, 8th May 2025 at the U.J Esuene Stadium, Calabar held a meeting for members of the Central Planning Committee of CRISPON Southern Senatorial District comprising of over 2000 representatives across the 76 wards of the 7 LGAs of Odukpani, Biase, Akamkpa, Calabar South, Calabar Municipality, Bakassi and Akpabuyo, respectively.

The event kicked off with the raining down of heavens with prayers by Pastor Akanimoh Boswel.
The Director General of CRISPON and Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Dr. Prince Michael Nku Abuo JP, intimated the team reason for the gathering.
“This month marks a significant month in the history of our state as it marks the 2nd Year Anniversary of Sweet Prince, His Excellency, Sen Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Executive Governor of Cross River State tenure as Governor, and thus far the state is witnessing transformational leadership as several infrastructural projects have been initiated and some completed and several intervention programs launched to positively impact the lives of the common man.”
He enjoined Cross Riverians and members of CRISPON for continue support for Governor Otu first term. He promised to mobilize at least 15,000 of CRISPON members across the South to attend a reception and endorsement in honor of the governor, slated for May 24.

“…to show our support and love for His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu and our party the APC we will be mobilizing to endorse Sen. Bassey Otu and hosting a reception of over 15,000 of our team members across the 76 wards of the South on the 24th of May 2025 in his honor which will showcase the gains of his administration and urge for his support and same will be replicated across the 66 wards of the 6 LGAs of Central, 54 wards of the 5 LGAs of the North.”
High point of the meeting was a break down of members into groups, group heads nomination, committees constitution and among others.
