The Senator representing the Cross River North Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate, Senaor Jarigbe Agom has handed over nine solar-powered boreholes to various communities in Bekwarra Local Government Area.
At The handing over ceremonies, held at multiple locations, the Constituency Officer, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, representing Senator Jarigbe, said the projects fulfills the Senator’s campaign promises.
He urged community members to maintain the boreholes to eradicate the challenges of water scarcity in the local government area.
The communities benefiting from this project include Gakem (Ushara), Beten, Otukpuru (Bewo), Nyanya (Abuagbor-Iye), Abouchiche (Itekpa), Ibiaragidi, Ugboro (Ububa Ukum), Afrike Ochagbe and Ukpah (Uwagba).
Taditional leaders, elders, and youth representatives have expressed their gratitude to Senator Jarigbe for addressing the water scarcity issue in Bekwarra. They praised his commitment and prayed for his continued success in delivering on his promises across the senatorial district.
