The Cross River State Police Command has felicitated with Muslim faithful in the state, as they mark the 2025 Eld-el-kadir celebration.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Olusegun Eyitayo, gave the felicitations in a press release signed and made available by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Irene Ugbo.
The Police Boss directed constant surveillance patrol and visibility policing across the State to forestall any breach of peace and hitch free exercise on the occasion of the Eid-El-Kadir celebration.
He enjoins all citizens residing in the state to go about their lawful duties without fear of molestation of any kind.
Meanwhile, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers (DPO’s) and Tactical Commanders are directed to ensure the safety and security of the members of the public before, during and after the occasion, as “the Police Command will not fold its hands and watch any group or individuals under whatever guise to obstruct or cause breakdown of law and order.”
The Command calls on Cross Riverians to continue to support the Police and sister security agencies in their effort to ensure peaceful coexistence in the state and the nation.
