The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Otu, has mandated the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy in Calabar, to evacuate the Generators and Transformers from Obudu Power Plant to Government House, Calabar.
The directive is contained in a circular signed by Senior State Security Adviser to the Governor, Major General Okoi Ubi Obono (Rtd), dated 4th May, 2025, with reference number SSG/SSO/278/VOL.II/511.
The Governor also requested that the Ministry and workers should be granted free passage from Obudu to Government House.
The permit is valid for one week with effect from 5th June, 2025 to 12th June, 2025.
