The Independence National Electoral Commission (INEC) has again redeployed Dr. Johnson Sinikiem Alalibo as the new Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Cross River State.
In an information made available to CrossRiverWatch, Dr. Johnson Alalibo who assumes office today, took over from Prof. Gabriel Yomere, who served in Cross River State for three years and has been deploy to Rivers State, where Dr. Alalibo was serving before the deployment.
Alalibo who hail from Bayelsa State, was sworn in as REC by the INEC National Chairman, Mamood Yakubu on 20 January 2020 and was first deploy to Cross River in 2020, later Edo state and River State where he was again redeploy back to Cross River State by the electoral umpire.
He is said to be “the only REC, who have serve in three different states of the country as the Residential Electoral Commissioner.
