The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Bassey Otu has appointed 15 Special Assistants and elevated 5 to the rank of Senior Special Assistants on media.
The appointments are said to be part of the government commitment in repositioning the media architecture to enhance the governor’s “People First” governance agenda.
This was contained in a press release signed by Governor Otu’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Linus Obogo.
The appointees are Okokon E. Bassey as Special Assistant to the Governor on Facebook Management, Edward Ntebri Egbelo as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Facebook Management, Peace Eni as Special Assistant to the Governor on Instagram Management, Emmanuel Inam as Special Assistant to the Governor on Content Creation, Bassey Ita Etim as Special Assistant to the Governor on X Management, James Eku as Special Assistant to the Governor on X, Joseph Okache as Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media Advocacy, Awade Friday as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media Advocacy, Modlin Philomena Odu as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media Research and TikTok and Beatrice Akpala as Special Adviser on Content Development and Archival.
Others are Abiola Imani as Special Assistant to the Governor on Media (Technical), Saviour Eim Asuquo as Special Assistant on Audio-Visual Generation, Ntor Mercy Irom as Special Assistant on Content Development (Electronic Media), Bassey Ansa Etim as Special Assistant on Content Editing and Production (Electronic Media), and Margaret Godwin John as Personal Assistant to the Governor on Media Documentation (Electronic Media).
In the same development, the Governor also approved the elevation of the following persons to the rank of Senior Special Assistants.
They are Imani Odey elevated from Special Assistant to Special Adviser to the Governor on Electronic Media, Ekeng Andre Inyang elevated from Special Assistant to Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Nathaniel Otaba elevated from Special Assistant to Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Communication, Daniel williams elevated from special Assistant to Senior Special Assistant, Photography to the Governor and Godswill Ekpe elevated from Personal Assistant to Special Assistant, Cinematography to the Governor.
While their appointments are with immediate effect, they are urged to bring renewed passion, creativity, and a high sense of responsibility to their duties in service of the people and the state.”
