Residents of Uyi Effiong Street in Anantiagha Community, Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State, are thrown in fear and panic over alleged nefarious activities of a suspected notorious gangster known as “Puky”.
The suspect allegedly raped a 13-year-old JSS 3 teenage girl inside her father’s house and terrorizes the peace of the Community.
CrossRiverWatch gathered that the rape incident took place on Saturday 9, August 2025, when the suspect dragged the teenage girl and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her.
“There’s a notorious cultist at Uyi Effiong Street, Anantiagha, Calabar South. He’s been terrorizing the area for years now,” source told CrossRiverWatch.
The source added: “His targets are minors, He dragged a 13 year girl into her father’s house when the mother was away and raped her inside her father’s house on Saturday evening. The mother stays alone with the girl in the family compound.”
The source stated further: “neighbors watched him drag the helpless girl into the house without any help because he is dreaded in the area. When the mother came back she summoned courage to confront him and ask him why he raped the daughter. He just ignored the woman and walked away.”
The suspect is said have once butchered one of his victims (a minor) sometime ago and the entire family out of fear fled their home.
Findings by CrossRiverWatch, revealed that the suspect is untouchable, as he has been often times arrested and released.
Meanwhile, family of the victim are seeking for justice, calling the relevant authorities to bring the suspect to book and end to his nefarious activities and tranquility in Calabar South LGA.
