Cross River State brance of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), came second in the just concluded NBA Annual General Conference (AGC) Football Tournament.
This is the first time Cross River State NBA branch is participating in the tournament.
The opening match, which was held at the UNEC Stadium, Enugu State, was a week-long activities blending professionals across the state.
Former Deputy General Secretary of the NBA, Daniel Kip, has hailed the feat by the state branch.
“For the first time in the history of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference Tournament, this is the first time that a Branch of the NBA in Cross River State is participating from Cross River State in the NBA-AGC Football Tournament.
“This is also the first time a first-timer has made it to the finals.”
He implore the state government to see it as a history making achievement that needs full support.
“The Government of Cross River State should receive this with pride. We need the support of the government at this point.”
