The Cross River State Government has reviewed the recent postings made by the Office of the Head of Service in August 2025, coinciding with approaching retirement from service.
The cancellation was contained in a press release signed by the Secretary to the Government, Prof. A. Owan Enoh, dated 20th August, 2025 with reference number SSG/GSA/S/78/Vol.IX/509.
The government noted that after due consideration, the postings effected within the short transition period could hinder smooth handover, create administrative instability, and undermine order succession.
It also stated that, Governor Bassey Otu, has directed the immediate reversal and cancellation of all such postings, pending the assumption of office by the incoming head of Service.
