A three-year old Calas Vegas Carnival band, has been crowned the overall champion of the 2025, Africa’s Biggest Street Party – the Carnival Calabar after outperforming six other competing bands in the main carnival category.
The result was announced in the wee hours of Monday, 29th December, 2025 inside the main bowl of Udokaha Jacob Esuene Stadium, by the Executive Secretary of Cross River State Carnival Commission, Evang. Austin Cobham.

Calas Vegas band managed by former Minister of Culture and Tourism, High Chief Edem Duke is one of the bands created in late 2022 alongside Diamond Band.
Other winners include, Seagull Band as 2nd position while Passion 4 as 3rd position respectively.

In the cultural carnival category, Calabar South came first (1st) position and in the Children category, Freedom Band came first (1st) position.
