The Vice Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State, Honorable Emmanuel Yakubu, has raised plans to impeach him.
Honorable Emmanuel who alleged that the conspiracy is being engineered by Governor Bassey Otu’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, over his loyalty to the ousted state party chairman of the All Progressive Congress – Barr. Alphonsus Eba.
The vice chairman who took to his official Facebook handle, said the Chief of Staff has given instructions to the Leader of Ogoja Council, Elizabeth Nkagafel Mbim to mobilize councillors to commence impeachment proceedings on him.
He said the move was after he made a post showing his solidarity to Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba who was removed as APC state chairman.
“It is laughable and indeed a comic relief to watch such events unfold. Let me reiterate that I stand strongly with the state chairman, Barr. Alphonsus Eba, and I will not apologize for my position or stand,” he stated.
He noted that while he awaits the Leader of Ogoja Council to begin the process, he enjoins his supporters to remain calm and never do anything to cause unrest in Ogoja.
